The concept of chessed (חסד), most often translated as loving kindness, is deeply rooted in our Jewish values. Modern thinkers also include courage and imagination when describing chessed. The Chessed Etrog Project began with the belief that by using a little creativity and imagination, you can always find a way to fuse your everyday actions with an act of kindness.
By purchasing etrog sets through the project, you can both fulfill the mitzvah of the etrog as well as contribute to a worthy cause.
Each year we select a deserving cause to receive the proceeds of our project. We take care of the marketing and logistics, leaving the recipient to continue their hard work of serving the community.
This year we are proud to support the Gaza Periphery farmers who have been severely impacted by the events of this past year.
