The World Center for Jewish Education (WCJE) was founded with the goal of strengthening Jewish education in schools and institutions around the world through professional educational tools with an appreciation for Jewish identity and Jewish values.

WCJE’s is staffed by a dedicated faculty of professional educators with over 15 years of collective experience enhancing and strengthening Jewish education, both in a formal educational surrounding and through educational trips to Israel. The World Center offers assistance and support to educators, school staff and students and private groups seeking educational materials.

To achieve our goal, the World Center works in close cooperation with dozens of educational and cultural bodies that specialize in developing syllabuses and designing  programs on Judaism-related topics. Our partners include The Hebrew University in Jerusalem; Academon Books, CET—the Center for Educational Technology, TALI, Partnership 2Gether, and many others.

To date, the Center has supplied over 150 educational syllabuses on Jewish subjects to hundreds of schools throughout the Diaspora. We maintain regular contact with over 350 elementary schools and ongoing contact with hundreds of other schools. The WCJE team has been involved with bringing hundreds of groups to visit Israel.

In conjunction with our traditional classroom-based focus, the WCJE boasts a team of seasoned tourism specialists available for planning and developing trips to Israel and sites of Jewish interest around the world.   Our commitment is to create an itinerary and schedule which is tailor-made to meet the groups’ educational vision while also in line with different levels of observance and perspective.

The World Center for Jewish Education was founded by Mickey Katzburg, and is an initiative of The Hedy Hirsch Foundation.
